Michelle qualified as a Certified Accountant whilst here at Kershen Fairfax in 2000 having joined the firm in 1996 as a junior audit and accounts clerk. She subsequently obtained Fellowship status in 2005 and in 2011 became a Director in the Practice. Since then she has gone on to qualify as a member of the ICAEW.
As a general practitioner Michelle brings her experience to both new and existing clients, be they corporate organisations, individuals or Charitable bodies. To this end Michelle has a vast amount of experience in all areas of personal and corporate tax, payroll, bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts and accounts preparation through to cash flows, budgets, specialist reporting and tax planning.
Since being given the opportunity to grow her own portfolio Michelle has developed a great interest in advising clients throughout the whole life cycle of their business and personal affairs. To this end, she helps them to understand their own businesses better by implementing management accounts, cash flow planning, budgeting and internal reporting together with looking at current and future tax planning.
Michelle strongly believes that her role is to support and advise her clients so that they can do what they do best whilst she ensures the regulatory aspects are met efficiently and in a stress free manner. She also enjoys helping to guide them to achieve a current and future work and life balance.
Michelle is also involved with the administrative side of the Practice with a wide range of responsibilities from the firm’s practice development through to IT infrastructure, training and mentoring of staff and recruitment. Away from the office Michelle "enjoys" supporting her football team, trips to the theatre and eating out.
